How do solar panel works?

Direct Current (DC) power is generated by a chemical process that occurs when sunlight strikes the solar panels. DC power is sent to an inverter, which converts it into AC power, or alternate current. Your house and the electric grid are powered by this AC power. After that, the energy or power goes straight to the electric grid or to power your house. In order to store extra energy, you can also direct the energy from solar panels into a battery. Batteries can run on DC power as well.
